We are living in some weird times. Most of us would not have believed a month ago that we would not return after spring break to regular classes due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Since WKU has canceled all on-campus gatherings for the remainder of the semester, we have also canceled all in-person HFC events for the remainder of the semester.
This is, of course, unexpected, and a bummer, but we will make the most of this difficult situation. In fact, I believe we can actually use this as a way to grow exponentially as a campus ministry and as individuals more into the image of Jesus.
Here are a few ways we will continue to stay connected and grow the remainder of the semester.
Video teachings – Starting next week, I will release an online video every Wednesday of some teaching as we continue to study the Gospel According to Mark. We began this great study back in August, and Lord willing, we will finish it by the end of the semester.
Student blog posts – Students, you have a unique perspective. God has blessed you with gifts. You have something to share. We hope to release a new blog post from a student at least once a week for the remainder of the semester. If you are interested in writing a blog post for us, let me know.
Google Hangout meetings – Starting next Wednesday night, we host a Google Hangout for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and prayer.
Sharing of online resources – Starting next week, we will begin to share some great online resources that will help you grow in knowledge and character during this time of social distancing.
