The Bible frequently uses repetition to show significance. We see phrases like “truly truly,” written throughout Scripture, and within those lines we feel God nudging us in those moments – make sure you pay attention to this part.

Although many words and phrases are carefully selected to be repeated, there is only one characteristic of God ever taken to the third level.

We know holy to be defined as being set apart, sacred, to sanctify.

We also know from other teachings within Christianity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) that the number three is significant too.

Adding all of this context together, I think we can be in agreement upon this ground-breaking theological statement.

We should probably try this whole holiness thing, right?

Thankfully Scripture gives us a bit more help on this topic too. Simply put — be holy as He is holy. (Leviticus 11:44, 1 Peter 1:16)

We are striving toward that level of holy, His level of holy, knowing one day we will reach it.

Which brings me to you – to us.

This space is for us.

A space that welcomes and encourages you. Whether today is the first time you’ve heard the word holy or you’ve studied it in detail – neither person is wholly there yet.

I pray you find comfort in that, and you also find comfort in this:

To put it simply — this is a blog written by peoplefor people as we strive to be wholly holy together. We fully believe He is faithful, and He will surely do it.
