Gulf Coast Getaway 2021

Gulf Coast Getaway

Of all the events HFC has had to cancel due to COVID-19 over the past year, probably the event that most HFC students missed the most was Gulf Coast Getaway.

Gulf Coast Getaway is a college ministry conference held every year on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend in Panama City Beach, Florida. Around 1,500 hundred college students from the southeastern United States gather for a weekend of fellowship and worship. GCG is one of the highlights of every students’ year. We’re bummed that we had to call off GCG in 2021.

Even though we wish we had the opportunity to be together at the beach in January, the Gulf Coast Getaway planning team provided campus ministries with solid teaching from Chris Seidman (bio below) for students this semester.

Seidman’s three messages are on identity. And along with the messages, there are handouts with notes and discussion and reflection questions.

We can’t wait for Gulf Coast Getaway 2022! But until then, we’re excited to dive into these incredible resources from Chris Seidman and the GCG planning team.

Session 1 – “Identity Through the Blessing”

Session 2 – “Identity Through Darkness”
