God’s Plan > Our Choices (Dalton Sledge)

Frequently in life we may find ourselves lost and wondering why something happened the way it did or what should we be doing with our life. This can be very hard because often we look at the rest of the world and think that “oh so and so looks happy, I should try to live like them let me go out and party and get drunk and sleep with somebody I’m not married to”. However, god sees further and beyond others and he has a plan for us. When we are lost and in the middle of nowhere and cannot decide who we are and what to do we should seek gods love for us. In Exodus 2 Moses is confused on where he fits in since he was born a Hebrew but raised as an Egyptian. Moses ended up killing an Egyptian and fled to the town of Midian where he would find his wife sitting by a well and later, he would be called to go back to Egypt.

I believe this well represents God’s love and promises and instead of drinking from the sinister of what the world thinks of us we need to just find God’s plan and follow it, and that will bring happiness upon us even if we do not understand his plan at that given time. I have really felt this in my personal life, not to long ago I had to make one of the toughest decisions I have ever made. I was not on the right track with god, and I was being controlled by the world.  I was not obeying what god wanted me to do so I had to change my life around. It was very difficult, but I feel as if I am on the right track and starting to be who god intended me to be.

Exodus 3:14- God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM This is what you are to say to the Israelites ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

I wanted to conclude with this verse because it is a very strong message god told Moses and it reminds us that no matter what God is in charge and we should follow the plan he has for us.
